Getting Period After Stopping Sprintec
Today is thurs, starting last sunday I was supposed to get period. I started amoxil (amoxicillin) on tues. Take sprintec but this week is sugar pills. No period?
Do you suppose to get your period when you're on birth control sprintec? Mine feels like it will come on soon This my 1st time on bc
Yes, you should: Get a period while taking sprintec, when your pack is finished. If you don't, don't worry as it is your body adjusting to the pill, and you will get a period in a reasonable amount of time. Hope this helps! ...Read more
After finishing a months worth of sprintec to stop the bleeding on Depo-Provera I should have had a normal period. I've been bleeding for two weeks now?
Ugh!: Depo-Provera prevents pregnancy by blocking ovulation. After prolonged anovulation, the endometrium (lining of the endometrium) can become thinner and hence break through bleeding or spotting can occur. Sometimes we will use estrogen, or OCP's to try to stop the bleeding. More often than not, this strategy helps, but not always. A NSAID for 8 days has also been used for this same purpose. ...Read more
I'm taking tri sprintec birth control pills. Every 4 weeks, I take placebos & have a period. Is there any birth control to take to stop having period?
I would like to conceive but having trouble hi I have a concern, I am trying to conceive but I have irregular periods so my doctor prescribed me sprintec which is a birth control. My doctor also said take it for three months which will help me get my menst
Most: Most of the time taking a birth control pill for 3 months will not cause you to return to regular ovulatory cycles when you stop the pill. It happens only once in a while. It is mainly useful in a patient who had very regular cycles and then just had a run of irregular cycles for no obvious reason. If you are trying to get pregnant and you are having irregular cycles it probably means you are not ovulating. What you need is some blood tests (tsh and prl + others depending on your situation) and medication to help you ovulate. I usually also test your tubes and your partner's sperm before starting treatment. In general, starting a birth control pill will just delay things though it will get your periods regular. ...Read more
Can change my bc start date? From Mon. To taking it Fri? I'm on sprintec. I'll be finished with period Mon (day I take them) and want to change to fri
One per day: As long as you take one pill per day it does not matter what day you start them. Just remember if you do not take the pills then you are not protected. If you skip 5 days of pills switching from a Monday to a Friday start then you are not protected for that month and will need to use condoms as back up. ...Read more

Call the doc: Who put u on that pill, and ask your doc, I do not prescribe that generic pill, I use mostly monphasic pills, my #1 pill is loloestrin and if my pts want to skip the period they do not take the placebo pills and start a new pack, this works much better with a monophasic pill than a tri- phasci pill that u are on. ...Read more
Sprintec for a 1 1/2 years. Normal periods but Sunday when I started my period a week early. Normal? I'm also a smoker
Stop smoking: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time) is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time. If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working. ...Read more
How long do medroxPROGESTERone 10 mg make your period last? Its been two weeks so far and I take Sprintec as birthcontrol
Why?: Why would you take medroxyprogesterone acetate along with Sprintec. Birth control pills already have more progestin than estrogen which can cause very light periods or skipped periods but can also cause bleeding. Estrogen helps the lining to heal after a period. Too much progestin can keep the lining from regrowing and healing. Medroxyprogesterone acetate is a progestin so it may keep u bleeding. ...Read more

I missed a period. I took tri-sprintec for 8 days and suddenly stopped to take it. Can it be that I missed a period because I stopped it suddenly?
Possible: You should always finish your pack at the end not the beginning or middle unless there is a good medical reason to do so (ie you find out your pregnant) this will create less bleedign issues and abnormal cycles. ...Read more
