At 13w ultrasound baby seems squished in gestational sac (not measured), it seems small for baby. Can this be normal? Is antroverted uterus a factor?
Tvs result normal sized retroverted uterus with thick endometrium and a gestational sac like structure as described. I want to know this means thanks
Very specific: Very specific question regarding the appearance of ultrasound must be evaluated in person by a doctor who know the clinical scenario and who can view the images. Otherwise, we would simply be guessing. ...Read more
6wks pregnant, no gestational sac in tubes or uterus based off 2 u/s. 5 weeks hCG level at 1100, at 6wks 1900. Possible I ovulated later & see sac soon?
It's possible. . .: Usually we see a gestational sac in the uterus by the time your HCG level is 1200, but it's harder to see in the tubes. The HCG level also usually doubles every 2-3 days, and yours only went up a little over the course of a week. So those are both concerning signs. Even if your timing is off, the numbers are odd. Did anyone check a Progesterone level? That can help us with a diagnosis sometimes. ...Read more
I have uterus didelphys, am supposed to be 7wks. Went to ER got u/s, they saw a gestational sac& yolk sac, no fetal pole. Could dates be off?
Yes: All pregnancy dating scans are estimates. Even though a single date is given, the actual date could also be before the estimated date or after the estimated date. In this question's situation, one should follow-up with the Ob-Gyn doctor to discuss what the emergency was, that caused one to go to the Emergency Room where the ultrasound was done (something serious or emergent must have happened). ...Read more
6 weeks pregnant, LMP was jan 30. Two u/s showed no gestational sac in uterus or tubes. Hcg level is 1900. Can I have ovulated later &see a sac soon?
My ultrasound tvs is small single gestational sac is seen in gravid uterus but no foetal node seen. Gestational age is 4 weeks. Is it wrry sign?
A bicornuate: Uterus can have different degrees. I do not think that this should affect the shape of the sac. In fact, if there is a yolk sac and the bhcg is going up I would trynot to worry too much about sac shape. Not much u can do anyway and those ultrasound bills can add up. Gd luc. ...Read more

If a Gestational sac is in the uterus is it possible to be an ectopic pregnancy? Or is a tubal pregnancy ruled out.
Unlikely but possibl: Heterotopic pregnancies (one "inside" one "outside") are uncommon but can happen. They are more common with assisted reproduction vs. natural, but can happen either way. The risk is not statistically higher than 1 in 100 and is usually much lower. Keep an eye on things but it's not likely for ectopic. Good wishes. ...Read more
Uterus is gravid containing a gestational sac. Gs measures about 40mm, corresponds with 9 weeks 2 days gestation. No fetal pole or heartbeat. Good/bad?
This is likely a missed abortion/miscarriage
heartbeat appears at 6 weeks
fetal pole clear by 7 weeks
4cm fluid sac usually means hydropic absent a fetus
serial b HCG levels be done, but overkill. ...Read more
I'm 12 wks pregnant. No heartbeat found. Ultrasound says slightly enlarged uterus with thickened endometrium 34 mm hyperechoic; no gestational sac see?
Whats the beta: An important part of the evaluation is assessment of your blood hormones to determine where you need to be in your pregnancy. An LMP can be misleading sometimes. If beta is > 2000, you should see something inside the uterus. This also helps rule out an ectopic pregnancy. See a doctor for this. This cannot be answered online. ...Read more

Hcg 1419 @ 18 days past conception. Uterine lining is "quite thick" per doctor, 5cm corpus luteum cyst. Possible small gestational sac seen. Normal?
Hcg 20000 mar 5, hCG 27500 mar 11, vaginal us found only small gestation sac at eight week in uterus. Doc suspicious for ectopic?
Assuming the HCG..: Assuming the HCG levels are accurate, your do not have a viable pregnancy. The sono confirms this. I would do an endometrial biopsy to see if your pregnancy is intrauterine, and consider Methotrexate therapy as treatment for an ectopic if present. I would expect some pain and bleeding if you have an ectopic. ...Read more

I am 7w + 1d, uterus is anteverted. It shows a single intrauterine gestation sac, no embyonic pole was seen, yolk sac not visualized? Am i safe?
I think I had a miscarriage but I want to know the difference between a gestation sac after 3 week pregnancy or a uterus lining during a period.
See your dr: If its only been a little of time since you had bleeding that was either a miscarriage or a period, the doctor can check a test to see if you are still making pregnancy hormones (which you may be if it was a miscarriage). If you don't want to be pregnant, you should talk with your dr about birth control choices. If you do want to be pregnant, plan ahead, start prenatal vitamins, and be health. ...Read more
