Gestational Sac Move Within The Uterus
Gestational Sac: Yes the position of the sac will likely fill the entire center of the uterus as it enlarges. In rare situations, if the sac lands within the cervix or at the cornea of the fallopian tubes, it will, not and this is considered a variation of ectopic pregnancy. But those situations are pretty rare. It's VERY VERY likely the sac will become more central over time as it enlarges. ...Read more
Depends: The hematoma may give the sac an unusual shape. Usually it does not . If there is a n unusual shape a follow up ultrasound and evaluation should be done within a week or right away if there is painful bleeding , or heavy bleeding. Nature will decide how successful the pregnanacy can turn out .There is nothing you can do to change the eventual outcome for the embryo. ...Read more
Sac seen, msd-13mm -6weeks but my LMP is 8weeks 2 days--no yolk sac seen-fetal pole not visualized at the time of scan. Sac partially separated 8*5mm?
Dates off?: May be off on dates, don't see fetal pole until sac at least 18 mm on transvaginal scan. It may work out and your just not where you thought or the pregnancy may not be viable low probality but a pregnancy in the tube can create a pseudo-sac but you would likely be in pain. If non viable your chances of having a normal preg. Next time are not lower; go to the follow up, sorry, tough situation. ...Read more

Less likely: So, the first assumption is that the dating is correct. If you are truly 7+4 weeks, there should be both a fetal pole and a heartbeat. But for various reasons you may be only 5-6 weeks so worth repeating ultrasound to make sure ...Read more
What is the chance of seeing a yolk sac in the gestational sac at 5 weeks but no baby develops around 8weeks?
Abdominal ultrasound at 7w3d showed empty sac. Hcg rising normally, is there any chance that the embryo was "hiding"?
Sounds odd: Usually by 7 weeks you should see something but is it a 7 weeks sized sac or is that based on your lmp. If its a smaller sac, maybe your dates are off a bit and then there's a chance. Next would want to make sure that the sac definitely satisfies criteria for an intrauterine pregnancy or else an ectopic pregnancy needs to be at least thought about. ...Read more

At 12 weeks the ultrasound technician saw that my fetus has penetrated the empty sac of the vanishing twin.how could this be?
Good question: I am not sure what the ultrasound technician may have meant if he/she really stated the surviving fetus has penetrated the empty sac of the vanishing twin. If he/she is implying that the membranes of the vanishing twin are somehow wrapping around the surviving fetus, then this is a situation that you would want to have clarified by a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. Discuss a referral. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
