Doctor insights on:
Gestational Sac Larger Than Fetus
Maybe: A smaller fetus in the first trimester can mean increased risk of miscarriage. Later on in pregnancy it can mean that you have a high risk pregnancy and your doctor has to keep a close look in to the causes of the smaller fetus. A smaller fetus can mean genetic causes as well. If you are small then naturally, your fetus is small also. So, let us not worry at this time. ...Read more

Hemorrhage, lower then average hormones, fetus smaller then normal, gestational sac 2 weeks behind fetus. Chances of trisomy or other abnormalities?

Gestational sac present yolk sac present embryo absent.. gestational sac size 17mm x 7mmx 13mm is this normal?
U/s at possibly 7w5d gestational sac and fetal pole measuring at 6w1d but no yolk sac or heartbeat. Miscarriage or miscalculation?
Dates could be off: I would not expect to see definite fetal heart activity at 6wk 1dy. A repeat ultrasound in one week will resolve the question. If the pregnancy is viable there should be appropriate interval growth and definite fetal heart activity. If not, then there had been an early fetal demise. In cases of blighted ovum a fetal pole does not develop. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Uterus is gravid containing a gestational sac.Gs measures about 40mm, corresponds with 9 weeks 2 days gestation. No fetal pole or heartbeat. Good/bad?
6w 4d pregnant with fetal pole, yolk sac ...heartbeat detectd...but seems gestational sac is irregular...sign of miscarriage?
Don't worry: The most important thing is that the fetus has a heartbeat. Did they tell you an actual fetal heart rate? Sometimes the gestational sac looks different. There could be a nearby fibroid or subchorionic hemorrhage. Signs of a miscarriage are uterine cramping and bleeding. If you are not having those symptoms I would not worry about this. The sonogram can be repeated in 1-2 weeks. ...Read more

Single intruterine fundal gestational sac is seen with no detectable fetal pole development at 7 weeks 4 days will the baby survive looks like 5weeks?
Less likely: So, the first assumption is that the dating is correct. If you are truly 7+4 weeks, there should be both a fetal pole and a heartbeat. But for various reasons you may be only 5-6 weeks so worth repeating ultrasound to make sure ...Read more

Hcg levels continue to double mine are more than doubling ges sac measuring 5w5d however i'm 5w2d. Hcg 4967 no yolk sac. Ovulated 18aug?
Perfect: Your #'s are perfect. For an ovulation of 8/18, and therefore a conception date shortly thereafter, you're measurements are right on, and your HCG is correlating perfectly with these numbers. A yolk sac will likely form in next few days. You should heart a heart beat in about 7 more days. No worries at all! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Depends: The hematoma may give the sac an unusual shape. Usually it does not . If there is a n unusual shape a follow up ultrasound and evaluation should be done within a week or right away if there is painful bleeding , or heavy bleeding. Nature will decide how successful the pregnanacy can turn out .There is nothing you can do to change the eventual outcome for the embryo. ...Read more
