Hard to know: It's unclear exactly what it is, and this probably is too complex for a simple forum. Could be as simple as a muscle spasm, or something related to complications of gerd. If it is bad enough or persistent, see your primary care provider. Hope you feel better! ...Read more

Depends...: Most kidstones cause no pain if not causing obstruction. Common symptoms of gallbladder disease (+/- gallstones) include bloating, gas, belching and pain under right ribs, sometimes going around right side into back near shoulder blade. Not kidney stone: If you have stones, it would not be a brief and dull pain. Besides your pain is too high and upfront above the kidney area. I think you need to see a doctor about this since the pain you describe is not typical for gerd. ...Read more

Unlikely: Based on the location, I would say it's unlikely to be gerd related. Sounds like it may be more of a musculoskeletal type of pain. Maybe try some yoga? Sounds crazy, but it could work. Hope this helps! ...Read more

Ask for a referral to a Gastroenterologist and to a Cardiologist. Stop coffee take med: Coffee causes gerd. If you have a known history of gerd than im sure you have a bottle of Prilosec or something. Take it as directed. If stopping the coffee and taking the med doesn't help an egd maybe needed. Don't put it off too long.
