Can Gerd and gas bubbles cause back between shoulder blades to ache? How do I tell if that's the cause?

Gerd: Sounds like you already have a diagnosis of GERD. Yes you can have pain here due to this. You should follow up and likely need a scope of your stomach to further evaluate your stomach and esophagus. ...Read more

Pain in middle of chest almost every evening and morning. It is usually accompanied by deep bubbles or gurgling in chest. Hist of gerd. Is thisgerd?

Also consistent with: Hiatal hernia (portion of stomach pulled by esophagus above diaphragm) which typically increases GERD. The gurgling, if related, would be consistent with stomach contractions pushing fluids up into cheat/esophagus. ...Read more

Past few days after I eat I get chest pressure and then a deep internal gurgle bubble that seems to relieve pressure. Hist gerd. Is this just gerd?

Very possible.: These symptoms may be due to Gerd, and they sound fairly typical of it. An easy way to tell if symptoms are due to excess acid is to try a liquid or chewable antacid, such as Tums (calcium carbonate) or Mylanta, when you get the pain. If you get a temporary relief, it probably was due to stomach acid and Gerd. If not, you should discuss it with your doctor and consider other possible reasons. Good luck. ...Read more

I feel a on and off multiple bubbling popping in left chest area no sound form it just feel could this relate to acid reflux/gerd as I do have this?

I feel a on and off multiple bubbling popping in left chest area no sound form it just feel could this relate to acid reflux/gerd as I do have this?

Possibly?: A bubbling sensation in left chest area could be related to GERD but it's not typical. This type of complaint is highly unlikely to be caused by any serious condition. I think if you reassure yourself and stop paying attention to it it will
just go away. It's natural to be concerned when you experience a new bodily sensation, but in this case you can relax. ...Read more

I have gerd/acid reflux yesterday I feel like I have multiple bubble popping in the left chest area no pain could this be hernia or something serious

Not sure.: Your symptoms are nonspecific enough that it is difficult to tell for sure what is going on just from your short description. If you do know you already have Gerd, I would try taking a liquid antacid such as Mylanta when you get these symptoms, just to see if it helps temporarily. If it does, did you know that the problem is likely to be acid related. If they persist, see your G.I. doctor. ...Read more

I have gerd and pots. If my gerd acts up my POTS does 2. Especially if I eat chocolate. I get chest bubbles, palps, lightheaded when I stand Up. Why?

Vagus nerve stim: The symptoms you are describing in regards to eating chocolate are most likely causing some distension in your stomach and small bowel leading to stimulation of your parasympathetic nervous system (main nerve being Vagus nerve) which can worsen your POTS. My advice would be to lay off the chocolate. Hope this answers your question. Best of luck. Dr. R ...Read more

If all of your: Cardiac testing is normal and you know you have GERD then it is likely your symptoms are from GERD. I have gerd. Why does it feel like gas bubble come up from my stomach and get stuck in my throat?

Reflux or?: You may have a hiatal hernia, in which part of stomach comes up through diaphragm opening and sits in your chest (pain radiates upward); or might be from more severe reflux, or might be an esophagitis (from acid/meds/other). Been feeling bubbles in my stomach but not gas and like a poping sound like something is moving? What is that? And heartburn really bad too?!

Maybe Gastroparesis: Gastroparesis means a slow-emptying stomach. May be mechanical (obstruction, or the stomach outlet narrowed from healing of past inflammation, treated by endoscopic dilation), post-inflammatory (due to swelling of the stomach lining from ulcers, treated with acid blockers), or neurologic (as with diabetes, treated with rx that stimulates motility). Of course, there are lots of other possibilities. ...Read more

Hernia: Is your GP aware of your symptoms? It is possible your hernia can be the cause. What is your weight? What other medical problems do you have? These can contribute to your heartburn as well. You should go back and talk to your GP some more and don't leave until you get an answer that gives you some peace of mind. ...Read more
