I take Adderall 10mg i'm doing good on it except i can't sleep geodon (ziprasidone) 60mg isn't working anymore what's a good sleep medicine that will work quickly?
Depends : From your information it looks as if you been diagnosed with more than just adhd and that the insomnia preceded the use of adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). In general that low dose taken in the am does not usually cause sleep issues in an adult although it might aggravate existing issues. It is also contraindicated to be taking the additional meds you have listed at the same time. Need visit with provider. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Prenatal Consult: This is a question that needs to be answered on a case-by-case basis. All meds have risks, but it is important to weigh the risks of going off them and benefits of staying on them verses the risks of taking the medication during pregnancy or nursing. Psychiatric conditions pose their own risks to a pregnancy, too. See a perinatal psychiatrist to help you with this risk-benefit analysis. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I'm on Depakote and geodon (ziprasidone) and 6 other meds and I think im pregnant. Should I stop them until i'm sure im not?
I would like to get pregnant in about a year from now. I have bipolar disorder, have been stable 8 yrs take depakote, geodon, (ziprasidone) benzotropine and atiwan.
Weigh risks/benefit: Being stable 8 years shows a lot of effort on your part. The medicines you're taking do have risks in pregnancy. Depakote especially has risk of abnormal spinal cord development in the infant. Geodon's risk is unclear. Ativan (lorazepam) is possibly related to cleft palate. You need to work with a perinatal psychiatrist ; a high risk ob-gyn to understand the risks ; explore options to deal with them. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Should be ok, but..: Since prescription lithium carbonate is safe to take with Geodon (ziprasidone), (ziprasidone) I don't see why lithium orotate would be a problem to take with Geodon (ziprasidone) as well. Just be careful as lithium orotate is not approved by the FDA for the treatment of any medical condition and one study suggested it might actually hurt the kidneys. ...Read more
I'm on 40MG Geodon 150MG Lyrica (pregabalin) and 2MG Klonopin. I was given Codeine and 50MG Damerol for pain. Is this all safe to take?? I feel nervous to take it
Doesn't sound right: I don't normally like to second-guess a prescribing doctor and usually do my best to think of all scenarios. But if you were prescribed Demerol and codeine for pain as an outpatient right off the bat, you're going to want a second opinion from another doc. Demerol is rarely used for pain anymore, and there's a risk it'll interact with you Geodon, (ziprasidone) not to mention the codeine itself. Good you asked! ...Read more
Is it safe to take drug that caused cataplexy? Geodon (ziprasidone) 50mg gave best sleep of my life but at 75mg gave me full blown cataplexy.. And best sleep! i slept deep solid 8 hours and woke up feeling great!
Supposed to take 1mg klonopin 25mg Geodon and 50mg Lyrica (pregabalin) all right before bed. Is this safe? Makes me scared since this is my first night on lyrica (pregabalin).
Sedation: All those drugs can be sedating, but if you have been taking geodon and klonopin already without side effects then adding this small dose of lyrica (pregabalin) should not be a problem. What you want to look for is are you more sedated in the morning after adding the lyrica (pregabalin). ...Read more
