HPV: A cervical biopsy is done in a procedure called a colposcopy. The pathologist looks for the percentage of skin thickness with abnormal cells, and rates it 1,2 or 3. It is a test for cervical cancer caused by the HPV. It will identify a condylomata or genital wart caused by low risk HPV but it will not identify HSV or any other STI. ...Read more
