Tough to say: The concern would purely be to get any "mass" checked out to be safe and assure it is not something serious. If it is a fatty mass (Lipoma) then they are benign in nature, but could still grow and encroach against vessels or nerves and cause pain, so may need removal. I have had symptoms of coccydynia(3yrs). A few days ago I noticed a palpable mass that is tender to touch, is this another symptom of coccydynia ?
