It is safe: Warts are the product of a viral infection onto the skin. Cutting them off as you have done is probably safe although there is a small risk of spreading the virus. Salicylic acid: If the wart is small and not on face, i generally recommend doing the following every other day for 2 wks: soaking wart with warm water, gently thin out the wart with an emory board, apply liquid 17% salicylic acid, cover with 40% salicylic acid tape, then apply duct tape (or surgical tape) over it to occlude.
