I had genetial warts about 3years ago and got them removed. Does this increase my risk of cervical cancer if I have to go for a colopscopy?
No increased risk: Genital warts and cervical cancer both appear to be caused by human papilloma virus (hpv). However, warts are caused by "low risk" hpv while cervical cancer is caused by "high risk" hpv. If you are having a colposcopy, then you probably have been exposed to high risk hpv.
