My friend is bleeding from her rectal and we were wondering if she should go to the hospital? It started after anal sex
I had anal sex for the first time and I'm bleeding. As long as it stops is it ok? Is this a wait and see, er, or call dr in the morning thing?
Should be: It is probably trauma to the anal area. If it stops it should be ok but if not would see your doctor. Would at the least inform your doctor when next seen so the area can be carefully examined. ...Read more
I frequently experience rectal bleeding after having anal sex. Is this normal? The bleeding typically goes away on its own after a day or two.
Examine for damage: Anuses are not designed for in-and-out sex. Just like in any big city, some streets are one-way and some streets are two-way. A vagina is created or evolved to be a two-way street (penis in, baby out). However, the gastrointestinal tract is designed to be one-way, with an opening on each end. Food goes in the mouth, and the brown stuff goes out the butt. (An exception is when one vomits.) ...Read more
Hello, I so worried. Before two days I had anal sex with my boyfriend (im girl) and today I have same bleeding as yesterday, but no pain. I'm on risk?
Should I go to the hospital me and my boyfriend did anal sex and it tore my butt and the top and the bottom. It really hurts inside and out. Its bleeding a little too. Idk what to do
I recommend that you go to the hospital because you are describing severe external and internal pain. If sounds like you sustained an injury from aggressive anal sex. There are a number of types of injuries which can occur. One is an anal fissure which is a tear on the anus. This is painful but would likely heal on it's own. There is a possibility of a more serious injury which is a rectal perforation; however this occurs more often when foriegn objects are forcefully introduced into the rectum. There can be tears in the mucus lining of the rectum. The muscle that is part of the anus can also be injured.
Symptoms of a rectal or anal injury include pain while having anal sex and afterwards, pain when trying to have a bowel movement, bleeding, or a mass near the anus.
Do not have anal or vaginal sex until this resolves. Try not to strain (like when you have a bowel movement). I recommend a moratorium on sex until you both become more knowledge about how aggressive sex can harm the body. I hope that you heal soon. ...Read more

4 weeks post TAH and Salpingectomy and was out with my fiancé drinking, one thing led to another and had Anal Sex. I was supposed to refrain from sex for 6 wks. What signs should I be looking for? No bleeding occurred.
Take it easy:
Both drinking and engaging sex that soon after surgery were not advisable. From what you described, no harm seems to have occurred. Watchful waiting is okay. If you get bleeding, develop fever or pain, it would be prudent to contact your doctor.

Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Nothing initially: Provided the bleeding only amounts to a small amount, such as a few drops on toilet paper, there is not much to do. The bleeding should subside, but if not, or if pain persists, please see a physician for an examination. ...Read more
