Gastritis - I read drinking only coconut h2o for 24 hrs will bring stomach to normal condn. I tried today but it is burning more. Is it healing process?
Total confusion: Acne is not related to B12. Why B12? How did you arrive at the diagnosis of gastritis? NO GASTRITIS IS CAUSED BY SPICY FOODS OR ACIDIC FOODS. This silly idea was thrown out 60 years ago. It may be related to smoking, alcohol, meds, H. Pylori bacteria.Coconut water is not effective therapy for gastritis or anything else. ...Read more
I am taking 1, 300mg of aspirin everyday as an aspirin desensitization treatment since last year, but now a couples of day ago I've notice a pain burning sensation in my stomach. I think its gastritis but my question is since I cannot discontinue my treatm
Find a better Dr: Are you ALLERGIC to aspirin? Sensitive people get asthma, coughing, or hives from it. Gastritis due to prostaglandin inhibition is a function of dose. Taking 4 adult size aspirin daily will cause stomach symptoms in many people. Taking a large dose makes no sense. If you are allergic to it, avoid it. Why diphenhydramine? It is used mostly as a sleeping pill. There are better antihistamines. Do you ...Read more

Burning: Stomach ulcers caused by the H pylori bacteria may get a little better with antacids, but won't go away unless the bacteria is cleared. You might consider getting tested. The other possibility is functional dyspepsia which may respond to other meds. Talk with your GI about the cause of your symptoms. ...Read more

I've had sternum burning and itching the whole two months I've had gastritis. My stomach feels better but my sternum still burns sometimes. Suggestion?
If I have gastritis or an ulcer, will the PPIs always help? I've been taking pantoprazole for a month, and I'm still experiencing stomach burning.
Return to your doc.: If you are still having symptoms after one month of a PPI, you should return to your doctor to see if further testing needs to be done, or if you need a different medication or a change in the dosage of the current one. In the meantime, it will not hurt to add over-the-counter antacids, such as Tums, (calcium carbonate) to your regimen. Good luck. ...Read more
Is it normal to wake up super hungry with stomach pain if I have gastritis and gallstones? Had a banana and still super hungry with burning sensation
Can be: Gastritis can be the source of burning sensation and is typically treated with antacids or medications that coat your stomach, protecting it from the excess and erosive acids. Severe gastritis from h pylori- finished treatment, but still have inflammation some days that makes it hard to breathe. Could a probiotic help?
After 8 weeks of Nexium&Protonix40mg treatment egd still shows erosive gastritis. No biopsy taken due to Plavix (clopidogrel). What blood/other testing do I need?
Focus correct issues: Plavix & aspirin usually Rx'ed for arterial disease plaque ruptures. But aspirin & NSAIDs ↑ gastritis, avoid. Optimize NMR-lipoproteins (get LDL-P to <400-700 nmol/dL), HbA1c <5.0%, SBP <120 mmHg, go HFLC foods & then stop the Plavix. The proton pump inhibitors you're taking tend to help but do not cure. I Always Feel Bloated And My Stomach Feels Like Its Burning. Is It Gastritis? How Is Will It Be Cured?
First find Diagnosis: Yes it can be gastritis. But that diagnosis can only be confirmed with upper endoscopy (Gastroscopy). If that is the cause then it is easy to treat and it can be cured. Most often we use antacids of one type or another and this eliminates acid in the stomach which then heals in one or two weeks. Go see your doctor to find the cause, only then it is treated properly. ...Read more
Last month I was diagnosed with gastritis and then yesterday I was diagnosed with gallstones is my burning feeling from gallstones or gastritis?
Probably Gallbladder: Gastritis shouldn't last a month in normal circumstances. Gall stones generally cause dull or sharp pain and not burning pain, especially after a fat diet. BTW, many people have gall stones, which don't cause any symptoms. You should have a follow up with your GP and let them review the results for a proper diagnosis. Feel better ...Read more
Collegiate runner. Diagnosed with gastritis and had gallbladder removed. Intense burning pain with exertion. Is this part of the gastritis? Advice
Possibly: I'm not clear how the gastritis (stomach inflammation) led to your gallbladder removed. Gastritis usually has a relationship with eating or lack thereof. If this is a new pain since your gallbladder, I'd recommend you see a GI doctor to evaluate this further as you may have bile acid gastritis. ...Read more
LUQ pain, burning sensation, pretty constant, worse with sweets sometimes, not always. Caffeine doesn't seem to affect it. Could it be gastritis?
I just stopped Prilosec 20MG after 2 months for Gastritis. I am on Zantac (ranitidine) 300mg now but am experiencing rebound acid burning and reflux. Suggestions?
See your doctor to: Discuss more about your diet and hydration issues too. It's important to see what's causing the rebound gastritis. Sometimes acidic foods, Tums, (calcium carbonate) calcium based foods can cause this to happen, as well as fried foods, processed foods and underlying stress and worry. There's definitely a mind- body connection with gut issues, as the microbiome controls our neurotransmitter production, absorption. ...Read more
Can I eat ice cream with mild gastritis? Would the coldness soother the burning in my stomach? I'm craving ice cream
Gastritis: Gastritis refers to inflammation of stomach lining. Calcium, H2 blockers & proton pump inhibitors, all available over-the-counter w/o prescription are often used to treat this condition along w/others, eg heartburn, indigestion, acid reflux, etc. I don't see any harm in eating ice cream (dairy products contain calcium, after all) but don't overdo it! Too many calories & not enough nutrition. ...Read more

I am having burning sensation in Upper back and Some times in the legs, I recently had an endoscopy that suggest mild gastritis but symptoms reoccured?
Could be a disc: Burning in the back associated with leg symptoms is suggestive of nerve compression in the spine. Based upon your age this is most likely due to a disc bulge. Most disc bulges occur in the lower lumbar spine, but they can also occur higher up. See an orthopedic spine surgeon or neurosurgeon for an exam, and possibly an MRI. ...Read more
