Maybe not acid...: Related. Could be irritants such as alcohol, reflux of bile into stomach, effects of aspirin, other. Talk to md about other causes and possible rx, including med change, use of other rx, e.g. Sucralfate, which works by a different mechanism than Prilosec and other ppi meds. ...Read more

Told gastritis antrum ,by endoscopy. GI said stop certain meds, those caused it. I did. Now endoscopy shows gastritis all over stomach. Now what to do?

You will need acid b: You will need acid blockers. Consider asking your GI to place you on these - like prilosec, prevacid, (lansoprazole) etc. You will ned a GI workup to decide on the reason you have this ...Read more

Upper GI 6 yrs ago showed "mild chronic gastritis" (antrum). No h-pylori. Take antacids prn but usu have no symptoms. Worried about GI cancer. 35 y/o?

Ok: The best way to know for sure is have an endoscopy. Stomach cancer it's very rare age 35 in a non-smoker non-Alcoholic especially with no family history of stomach cancer ...Read more

Doctor diagnosed mild gastritis in antrum and prescribed me PPI it helped me to reduce gas in chest and burping but its getting back what should I do?
