Coz of a bad cold i consulted a dr and now taking levofloxacin, now i have been feeling weak have a gassy, upset stomach and diarrhea. Is this common?

Levofloxacin: This antibiotic has the potential to produce an upset stomach. The diarrhea is concerning since this could suggest Clostridium difficile colitis. Go back and talk to your doctor about this, it can become quite severe if left untreated. This might also just be part of whatever the illness creating cold symptoms was. You'll learn skills for life! ...Read more

Usu diet/minor virus: If you are fine now, a brief episode of diarrhea in a healthy person may be due to something in your diet or to a minor viral infection. If you continue to have symptoms, make an appointment with your physician. Pay attention to see if there are any foods that seem to regularly give you diarrhea such as, for example, dairy products. Black or bloody diarrhea should get checked by a doctor. ...Read more

Experiencing lower abdominal pains, also gassy. I had diarrhea once today and vomited a little in mouth. All this started last night. What could it be?

Virus: Sudden onset of diarrhea and abdominal discomfort is most often the result of a viral infection. Food intoxication can also be very acute and self limiting. If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, an evaluation for chronic diarrhea is warranted. If at any time symptoms lead to dehydration, if you develop bloody diarrhea, or if you simply cannot work, then you should see your doctor. ...Read more
