Gas Pains In Upper Back
May be gas in large: This may be what we call the "splenic flexure syndrome" where we get gas in the large intestine where the intestine flexes from the tranversecolon to the left descending colon - across the top of the abdomen and down to the left side. The intestine turns under where the spleen is and that is why it is called the splenic flexure where the intestine turns. Intestine gas can build up = pain.
I have gerd, when I have a lot of gas I get upper back pain, goes away after burping, happens when I eat big meals usually?
Simethicone: Simethicone dissolves the gas and that will help you. Obviously, eat smaller meals. Check and make sure you are not gulping down air when nervous or talking too fast (aerophagy). Consider taking a proton pump inhibitor to fix your gerd. May want to discuss your options with a GI specialist, may want to check for barrett's esophagus at some point also.
Have had left mid/upper back pain for a month with occasional pain just under left chest. Sometimes lower left abd too. Lots of gas especially after meals. In my stool there are white specks. But overall brown. Blood test normal. Scared panc cancer?
Scared: Given what you wrote you must see your primary doctor as soon as possible. Hope all goes well - should do!
Chest pains: Pain in your chest is a serious medical condition. It is always a red flag and appointment with your pcp is warranted. Rec.: see your pcp for further investigation. Take care.

Can gastritis cause excruciating pain in the upper abd area that spreads the entire abd and mid to low back feels like strong gas pains us good?
Yes, it is possible: And you can try Prilosec or prevacid (lansoprazole). But if it travels to right lower quadrant, it could be appendicitis. But excruciating pain is not common with gastritis, it sounds more serious like pancreatitis or kidney stones. Tough to say what is exact cause, but if it is really that bad, go to the emergency dept now.See 1 more doctor answer
I have had sharp shooting chest pains both side accompanied by upper back pain between shoulder blades. Sometimes worse by breathing why is this?
Discuss with MD: You need an evaluation, it could be nothing but will need an evaluation and good physical exam, to rule out heart or lung causes. In your age group it is most likley musculoskeletel, but still warrants an evaluation.
Gas pain: It could be gas pains but also could be other things.See 1 more doctor answer
I'm having gas pains in my neck and lower back from doing a tubal ligation a week ago. Is there anything I can do or take to help with it?
1 yr chronic upper back pain. Now 5 sec. Pinching pains in left breast and chest and straight back to shoulderblade. What causes this?
Been gassy for 2 weeks and stomach has been making a lot of noise. Have some gas pains. Back hurts. Had unprotected sex. What can this be?
Not related to sex: The gassiness is probably not related to unprotected sex. It could from a disturbance in your intestinal flora from recent medication, mild viral infection, or something you ate. You can try taking an OTC antacid for fast relief but may need to add a probiotic to address the problem more fully. If the symptoms continue, see your primary care doctor for further evaluation and management.
1st x this yr happened previously 3 times I fill up with so much gas that my stomach is distended, back pain due 2 gas belching severe gas pains A LOT of over-the-counter gas meds 4 24 hr to fl bt?
Gas and acid reflux: These symptoms seem related to stomach and intestinal gas with acid reflux. You may also be relatively constipated. I recommend adding much more fiber to your diet, like high fiber cereal, oatmeal, apple, pear, celery and avoiding banana and greasy meat and pasta and sauce. Eat smaller amounts. Drink 2-3 liters of fluid per day in small sips. Do not gulp. Take simethicone.See 1 more doctor answer

I am feeling nauseas and have no appetite. I also have had gas pains in my back ond chest. I am not able to have a bowel movement for several days.
Constipation: Sounds like you're very constipated. In the long term, adding more fiber to your diet and drinking more water are essential to prevent this from happening. For now, try taking an over the counter stool softener like Miralax (polyethylene glycol). You can take this twice a day until you are moving your bowels, then taper it back to once daily or once every other day to keep regular.
Can you have gas pains for a couple weeks? Stomach is gurgling & feels uncomfortable. Had blood work & abdominal ultrasound done, both came back normal
Possibly: People with irritable bowel syndrome, lactose or gluten intolerance may have very frequent uncomfortable gas buildup. Avoidance of certain gassy foods, lactose or gluten may help. Taking simethicone after meals may prevent gas buildup. A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate you. Appropriate tests will be done and dietary advice given depending upon the results of the workup.
Have upper back pain both sides while bending neck forward, it pains till the head, pains on touch, pains on touch in chest ~ 1 yr. Chest CT clear jan?
Muscle: Bending the neck stretches the upper back and posterior neck musculature which in your case could be too tight or strained from certain exercises or activities. Perhaps massage therapy would help the problem resolve. If you're doing exercises that are straining these structures, you may have to avoid or modify them.See 1 more doctor answer
