Severe Gas pain immediately after and diarrhea x5 days post first time protected anal sex.?

Severe Gas pain immediately after and diarrhea x5 days post first time protected anal sex.?

Doubt STD: The immediate symptoms were just irritation, gas, or something along those lines. No infection can cause symptoms that fast. Even the diarrhea probably is unrelated; most STDs from anal sex would cause rectal or anal pain, sores, discharge, etc. So probably just a coincidence. But see doctor if it continues. If STD risk (new or unsafe partner), rectal STD testing would be a good idea to be safe.

Can you tell me about having gas, bloating, diarrhea, & nausea after gallbladder out?

Not unusual: About 6% of patients will develop these symptoms after cholecystectomy. The treatment will need sometimes anti-dirrhea medication first and if it did not work then Cholesteramin powder may be needed.

For the last 3 days my poop has had white stringy stuff attached to it. I've had some gas and loose stools yesterday. What is going on?

MaybeItsStringCheese: Sounds like that stringy stuff is mucus (let's call it "butt snot"). That and the gas and loose stools could mean some inflammation. If just a minor virus it should pass in a few days. But if it persists or you start getting cramps ore some streaks of blood, get a doctor to check you for something more serious, like some weird infection or so-called Inflammatory (or Irritable" Bowels. Other stuff too

Irritable bowel synd: The description of your symptoms is consistent with irritable bowel syndrome. For more information see: http://helpdoctor-irritablebowelsyndrome-ibs. Blogspot. Com/ There are more serious conditions that could cause these symptoms. Consider an evaluation by a gastroenterologist to be sure.

Annual Checks: You need to have your regular annual check ups and ask your doctor for advice. The only thing I would want to make sure is that you have had a Colonoscopic exam for Cancer screening. This is one important test. Other than that your problem does not sound serious. You should exercise daily...walking is one of the best way to keep your bowel healthy and moving normally. This will help to reduce bloati

After defecating hard stools I drank water and eventually defecated more hard, then normal and loose stools. Now I have gas. Normal?

After defecating hard stools I drank water and eventually defecated more hard, then normal and loose stools. Now I have gas. Normal?

Not worrisome: Perhaps you had a stool plug which has now passed. A "good news" is that you have not described bleeding per rectum. Changes in bowel pattern are however a "red flag" to doctors. Depending upon what is a "normal" stooling for you, please discuss your recent bowel irregularity with your doctor who can put it in perspective with the rest of your rx & medical history (with which we are un-aware).

How long does it take the digestive system to fully adjust after a cholecystectomy? Is it normal to have some gas and loose stools 6 weeks post op?

Yes: That wouldn't be uncommon, and different people have different adjustment times. It is also normal to occasionally have gas and occasional looses stools even of you haven't had an operation. If you're really worried something is wrong, check with your surgeon.

I've been having loose stools for a week. I don't feel sickly. Lots of gas and my BM are just off. I take probiotics. RX'd with IBS at 24. Worrying! ?

Don't worry yet: If you don't feel "sick" I'm less concerned about a dangerous pathological process, but something is going on and it should be evaluated. I would see a functional medicine physician or an integrative gastroenterologist. In our clinic we would begin by ordering a comprehensive digestive analysis test which would guide the recommended treatment. As said in functional medicine "Heal the gut"!!

Gas pains & recovery: The body always wants to get "back into health" and I think here you've proved that. Certainly the body will try to rid itself of any germs or toxins which probably affected u for the last few days. Now that you're getting better I wouldn't worry. It might be useful to try and "go back" and think of what may have triggered you off- to limit problems in the future. Hope that helps!

I have a nausea, my stomach feels like it's bubbling, loose stools, gas and a killer headache. What could this be?

Stomach flu: Is the second most common illness after common cold. The common symptoms are vomiting, diarrhea, headache, stomachache and/or fever. The condition usually last up to 21 days. Good rest, lots of fluids and Tylenol (acetaminophen) OTC for pain management will help you to recover. If concerned see your doctor for evaluation and treatment.

Can spastic colon come without strong pain, what I experience is loose stools, change in stool caliber, trapped gas and bloating, discomfort?

Can spastic colon come without strong pain, what I experience is loose stools, change in stool caliber, trapped gas and bloating, discomfort?

Yes: However other conditions can cause your symptoms too. Lactose intolerance can develop in later years, as can some infectious diseases. Spastic colon is often a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning you need to rule out other causes before coming to your diagnosis. It's always a good idea to get an exam and confirm the diagnosis with your physician.

Absolutely typical: Of a vitamin deficiency disease called beriberi. You probably have low stomach acid and a deficiency of pancreatic enzymes because your energy metabolism is being distorted. This disease can affect virtually any organ in the body because of its interference with energy synthesis. Stop sugar in all its various forms.
