Not good idea.: Gi upset, nausea vomiting and diarrhea from the fish oil portion. Scott's and emulsion makes this sound as though it was not a medicinal but agricultural agent. In that case it may contain something other than cod liver oil and the bottle may be larger than that for medicinal use. I would call poison control. Underlying circumstance regarding ingestion must be addressed. ...Read more

I'm looking for a high quality omega-3 fish oil supplement. I've come across a brand by Nordic Naturals. Any suggestions?
Yes: While vitamins are not a substitute for a healthy diet, the vast majority of americans do not adequate nutrients from their diet, so i advise everyone take a good multivitamin. There is evidence that vitamins & minerals can help prevent heart disease & cancer & boost immune function. While not my favorite, usana essentials is a very good quality multivitamin and is better than most. ...Read more
Dr. Randy Baker says on Healthtap that most adults need 5000 IU of vitamin D. Isn't that rather a lot? I am 67.
How often?: If you specify HOW OFTEN the recommendation was made then, there'd be more clarity to the question. There is no real tried & tested protocol yet for how much vitamin D should be taken by human beings, if it should really be supplemented at all. You need to get blood tested first. If your numbers are in need of replacement then, it becomes each physician's discretion how to do that safely. ...Read more
Is lipo ex fda approved"? I find many different opinions. Look here: http://www.Lipoadvisor.Com/lipo-ex
Yes, but...: Fda approval for medical devices means something quite different than it does for drugs. Fda device approval only requires a fairly minimal review. It does not entail the kind of detailed safety and effectiveness studies that are required for drugs. The fact that a device is fda approved means little about whether it works or is a good idea. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

SAFE and ADVISABLE: The recommended daily intake is the amount that will prevent obvious deficiency symptoms in most healthy people. See http://blissfulwriter.Hubpages.Com/hub/recommended-dietary-allowance-rda-is-too-low for example, the rdi of vit d is 600 iu/day but most adults need 5-8000 iu/day for optimal levels. ...Read more

Dr. Gary, my daughter is 5yrs old and her upper front teeth came off about 2 months now and it has grown back.
Unusual: Sounds like baby teeth fell out and permanent teeth coming in. It's a little early, but not unheard of. Also, usually bottom front teeth exchange before top front. Please have your dentist check to make sure everything is ok, and it probably is. Please note that because your child is teething early she may enter puberty and she may be ready for braces earlier than many of her peers. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

We all are: A 3-word question with no details... well, life is short on Earth, regardless of whether a person lives 3 days, 3000 days, or 30,000 days. It is not length of one's life that matters, but the quality of the life lived. The goal is not to live a long life, but to live a good life. Even if a person makes it all the way to age 82, that's only 30,000 days. ...Read more
