Painful ganglion cyst and trigger finger in middle joint. Am currently 21 weeks pregnant. Is it safe to use local anesthetic for surgery?
I have a non-painful ganglion cyst on my index finger at a joint. Do not have insurance for a hand orthopedic MD but for a general ortho. MD. Good?

Ganglion cysts in the finger are usually due to arthritis in the joints, especially the distal interphalengeal joint (dip or last knuckle). More likely you have carpal tunnel syndrome (cts) or cervical radiculopathy (herniated disk in the neck). See a board certified orthopaedic hand surgeon. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

The need for a tourniquet, other equipment or surgical assistance can make doing procedures in the office impractical. Make sure to see a board certified orthopaedic hand surgeon. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
