Was told I have ganglion cyst on elbow and to take anti inflammatory meds. To me, that is a temporary solution. My elbow swells and pain in arm... ?

Unlikely: Usually ganglion pain is localized to the affected wrist. However if it is affecting movement and one is compensating for the pain it could cause referred pain to other joints on the same extremity. ...Read more
