Not enough: Reducing fatty food intake may reduce gall bladder attacks , but will not make your fatty liver to normal. Modify lifestyle 1st: Fatty liver occurs thru delivery of dietary fat/fatty acids to liver, excess carbohydrate, impaired export of triglyceride from liver cells, & augmented trigylceride production. Fix it by controlling diabetes, obesity, cholesterol, & avoid alcohol. Gallstone.: The report sounds like gallstone (echogenic focus and sludge) with some irritation of the gallbladder (wall thickening). If you have a fever, then this could also be infected cholecystitis, which your surgeon should remove. If not infected then you may be experiencing "biliary colic", caused by the gallstone. Maybe: If your gallbladder has stones or sludge (which can lead to obstruction of bile flow out of the gallbladder, and cause thickened gallbladder wall), then you can have pain in that area, though it is generally in the right upper abdomen.
