Unusual: This is an unusual postprandial symptom. It could be referred discomfort from the esophagus or stomach possibly from gas buildup. What could cause sharp pain in right shoulder/collar bone after eating besides gall bladder? It is worse about an hour after eating. No GB.
Esophagus?: Could be an esophageal spasm, or a large hiatal hernia, known as a paraesophageal hernia. These can be diagnosed with upper GI contrast xray, and esophageal manometry. Need more details: I would need much more detailed medical history and full test results. Was ultrasound & hida scan done of the gallbladder? Needs a full medical history & physical exam. See a GI specialist for evaluation. Have you had stomach endoscopy & biopsy? Possibly: You have pleuritic pain - meaning respiratory motion (rubbing of the pleural surfaces or the muscles of respiration) provokes pain. A recurrent blood clot is certainly a possibility. Other symptoms?: Does it feel like a pulled muscle? How long does it last ? Do certain foods make it worse. Have you tried any meds? Did u injure the muscle working out? Would you say it is more related to food or activity? Does it feel like your old gallbladder symptoms? Many musculoskeletal things, strains, etc can give you those symptoms. Nausea?
