It's possible: Recovery, always a challenge as other issues develop or are revealed. Gallbladder/biliary disease can be difficult to diagnose and does include pain that radiates into the mid back in some patients. The good news is a low fat diet, lots of hydration and outpatient tests with your regular doc, (ultrasound of ruq) will help answer your question. Yes if: Hi,If your gall bladder was removed laparoscopically within the past 5-7 days,then the pain you are having is due to the carbon dioxide used to inflate your abdomen during the surgery(thereis a neuro-anatomical reason for this).The percocet you are taking should help and the pain should disappear after the CO2 is all gone.If your gb surgery was much longer ago,see a doctor soon.Best wishes. ...Read more

Esophagus?: Could be an esophageal spasm, or a large hiatal hernia, known as a paraesophageal hernia. These can be diagnosed with upper GI contrast xray, and esophageal manometry. Need more details: I would need much more detailed medical history and full test results. Was ultrasound & hida scan done of the gallbladder? Needs a full medical history & physical exam. See a GI specialist for evaluation. Have you had stomach endoscopy & biopsy? I am assuming that you have not had gallbladder surgery, but surgery without a proper diagnosis may be of no benefit. ...Read more

Would you say it is more related to food or activity? Does it feel like your old gallbladder symptoms? Many musculoskeletal things, strains, etc can give you those symptoms. Nausea?
