Full Moon Insomnia
I've insomnia frm taking meth lastnight. I smoked 5 full lungs of smokes (ex/re-inhaled to/from a plastic bag till all absorbed). How can I sleep now?
A few suggestions: Don't take any pills or alcohol to sleep! Lie in a dark room, with a fan or some quiet music. (White noise). Make sure it's cool. It will take time for the chemical to work its way out of your system. The temptation now is to go and find another drug to counteract the Meth and the spiral goes on and on. Please try to stop using. It's a devastating and terribly addictive drug! ...Read more
What is a good sleep aid that is mostly natural and allows a full night's rest? I currently take ambien (zolpidem) to help ease my insomnia, but there are nights where it doesn't work or affect me at all. Basically, it's not very reliable.
A few: Insomnia is very annoying. I tell my ADHD patients to try Melatonin and to take chamomile calming tea 2-3 times a day. Personally like Tazo's brand. Stop TV/electronics 30 minutes before sleep. Use machine that makes calming droning sound next to bed. Hot shower and use lavender based lotion and comfy PJs. NO TV OR RADIO to lull to sleep. Use ambien (zolpidem) cautiously as can have some daytime drowsy pblms ...Read more
How shoud I take Seroquel (quetiapine) XR used for insomnia? It doesn't seem to make me as sleepy as the regular Seroquel (quetiapine)? Take it earlier? Full vs empty stomach?
Dual purpose?: Were you switched to the XR to better control your bipolar symptoms? It does make sense that you wouldn't be quite as sleepy with the XR formulation. You can try to take it earlier and it may help if it's on an empty stomach, but if this even doesn't help maybe talk to your doc about going back to the immediate release Seroquel (quetiapine) and trying something else for bipolar symptoms. ...Read more

Having heartburn, full breast/sore, insomnia, forgetting things/clumsy...could these be symptoms of early preg? Baby removed from fallopian 4/27/15
Hard to tell: It can be hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some of the symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women. A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result if done correctly. One can test about 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. An Ob-Gyn doctor can evaluate any persistent or worrisome symptoms. ...Read more
Are the side effects for a partial hysterectomy the same as full (still have ovaries) ie;early onset of menopause, anxiety, depression, dizziness fatigue, insomnia, memory problems, mood swings, nervousness and etc. Should I pay for a saliva testing (zrt)
No: Your ovaries are likely still working. Many people seek solutions for mood and stress via ovarian hormones. You could get a serum fsh that can tell if the ovaries are functioning, but serum testing can reveal fluctuations. Do you grind teeth when sleeping? Do you have panic attacks, crying spells, low energy, etc. I'm not saying its all psychiatric just don't use resources seeking perfect horm. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Severe Anxiety: Your symptoms are consistent with severe anxiety, although other possible etiologies should be r/o by your doc. For such anxiety, intervention is important, for you are losing the 'nourishment' of food and sleep your head and body need. Seek a psychiatrist who does cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety and medication management. Also, seek mindfulness meditation training, extremely helpful! ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
