Engorgement: Your breast are engorged. This can happen when you stop breast feeding. First try gentle milking either with your hand, with a pump or with the baby. Use warm compresses/shower to get milk moving. Green cabbage leaves can be helpful with engorgement. Wrapping the breast w ace bandages may help. A medicine is also available to dry up milk. Burp, upright: New babies spit alot. The valves that close their stomachs are not well developed, and they are also on liquid diets and eat frequently. Feed slowly, burp frequently and keep upright after feeds. Sometimes altering your diet can be helpful, such as decreasing your dairy products intake.
