What does it mean if you are not able to pass urine for 2 days but feel like you have a full bladder?

What does it mean if you are not able to pass urine for 2 days but feel like you have a full bladder?

Failure to void.: It is not normal to go for two days without passing urine. Failure to void is caused by obstruction of the bladder, or an inability of the bladder to contract and expel the urine. A buildup of a large volume of urine can damage your bladder and eventually your kidneys, as well and increase your chances of a urinary infection. Please see a physician for evaluation if this is the case. ...Read more

Can tramadol cause difficulty urinating? I am on 100mg for my knee. Even with a full bladder I have to work really hard to get urine out.

Tramadol: Tramadol (Ultram) is a rather unique analgesic drug that is indicated for moderate to moderately severe pain. Is it concerning if I started amitiza (lubiprostone) and now have a full bladder (increased urination) every hour with no change in fluid intake?

Very unusual...: I have never heard of this side effect from the drug in question, nor is it identified in the pdr as a significant adverse reaction. Perhaps the two issues are coincidental, so that your polyuria (urinary frequency) might then deserve further medical attention (rule out uti, high blood sugar, passing stones, etc). You can also stop the Amitiza (lubiprostone) ; see if the increased urination returns to baseline. ...Read more

Watery discharge without odor & some pelvic pain with full bladder, but no pain during urination. Also mild itching of inner labia. What's going on?

Vaginitis or worse: What you are describing could be consistent with a vaginitis such as trichomoniasis (Trich) or bacterial vaginosis (BV) but, with the pelvic pan, could also be concerning for an STD like chalmydia or gonorrhea. Would recommend seeing a gynecologist for a more detailed workup. ...Read more

I feel a constant urge to urinate but very little comes out even thought I feel a full bladder.?

Just a thought: But this sounds like INTERSTITIAL CYSTITIS an inflammation/infection where the urge to urinate originates in the bladder wall itself rather than the superficial lining!
Discuss with your Family Physician/GYN this can be "stubborn" and there is SPECIFIC TREATMENT!
Hope this is helpful!
