Burn treatment: Continually immerse your foot in cool water. Apply a burn ointment or Silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) cream if you can get it. If you have blisters or open wounds, head to the ER. ...Read more

I had a Brazilian wax about 4 days ago and now the area where she waxed and my upper inside thighs are red burning and itchy.?

Probable allergy: It sounds like you may have had had an allergic reaction to something in the wax or something applied to your skin after the wax. I would try putting 1% Hydrocortisone cream, available over the counter, on the area twice a day. I would not put anything else on it. Sometimes when people are in this situation, their good intentions wind up making things worse. If not better, contact your md. ...Read more

I am have developed rashes under arm. I think it is because of waxing. What should I do? It is causing burning sensation and little pain..

Rash: Under arm rash can be due to-- contact irritant dermatitis (treatment is steroid ointment), bacterial infection (folliculitis), fungal infections (t corporis), infection of sweat glands- hidradenitis. All these conditions need to be treated differently. See your md to make right diagnosis and place you on right treatment. ...Read more

I use at home waxing strips and now underneath my eyebrow on my eyelid it's red and burning it's been like that all day. What should I do?

I use at home waxing strips and now underneath my eyebrow on my eyelid it's red and burning it's been like that all day. What should I do?

Well, I think it is: Safe to assume that something in the waxing strips was an irritant to your eyes. Your description suggests the irritation is limited to your eyelid; better than chemical injury to the eye itself! Start with warm, moist compresses (clean cloth) on eye for 15 minutes every couple hours. Try some OTC low dose (1 or 2.5%) hydrocortisone cream/gel meant for the eye, applied VERY carefully. Worse: to Doc ...Read more

I have has some sort of nose sore for three years I was told it was a tiny cyst and it was removed but it came back. I have tried vas, fucidin, poly?

See Dermatologist.: Some cysts may recur. I do not think vaselin or "fucidin" will resolve it. My concern is to rule out some kind of skin cancer on your nose. Let a dermatologist see you. ...Read more

You: You likely have a retained sebaceous cyst or development of new ones. These are very common in the armpits and other moist areas. My suggestion is you see the physician that removed the first one and see if any more surgery is necessary. Oral antibiotics and creams do little to prevent and treat them. ...Read more

Topical Fucidin cream combine with lightening cream is it safe?

Topical Fucidin cream combine with lightening cream is it safe?

Unlikely combination: I don't know of any reported interactions between fucidin cream and the common skin lighteners, which usually use hydroquinone as their active ingredient. But I've never run into a situation where both were used at the same time on the same area of skin. Dark spots are not usually infected, and vice versa. ...Read more

I have been using Fucidin h and it is causing a rash like look with red blotches.?

Poss allergic rxn: Although used to treat dermatitis, this and virtually any other topical cream could cause an allergic or irritant reaction, which would show up as a red, irritated and often itchy area. I'd recommend you consult with your dermatologist to evaluate the reaction, and recommend proper skin care measures and treatment. ...Read more

Why does my 6 yr old son have impetigo at least every few months? He has had it since he was a year old. Currently we use Fucidin to control it.

Likely colonization: Impetigo is a bacterial infection of the skin, most often caused by staph aureus. This bacteri is sometimes colonized in the nostrils of those with chronic hay fever or sinusitis, and in patients with extensive eczema. Your doctor can take a swab bacterial culture of your son's nostrils. If positive, your doctor may prescribe a topical antibacterial medicine to reduce colonization. ...Read more

What is the best nappy/barrier cream for babies as my little one was prescribed even with Fucidin but did not do the tricks, he screams in pain?

Bad diaper rash?: Rashes are hard to describe in words, so for bad diaper rashes, visits to the doctor may be needed. Haven't heard of Fucidin (websites say it is an antibacterial cream; not in the U.S. Perhaps). For babies with bad diaper rashes, we know that not wearing a diaper will help. Zinc oxide creams help, but one must not rub the skin when trying to clean the butt. Anti-yeast creams may be added, etc... ...Read more

Spironlactone: For adult women the best acne treatment is the anti-androgen spironolactone. Usually 100mg orally. Expect clearing in 3 months. Not if pregnant or in kidney failure. If very severe acne and insufficient response to spironolactone, 5 months of oral isotretinoin, probably at 80mg a day, will rescue you. Not if pregnant. Acne is related to hormones, menstrual cycles, genetics. Not diet or hygiene or ...Read more
