I sometimes get balanitis for days after sex (i'm uncircumsized). are there over-the-counter creams to make it go away?
Balanitis 4months not going away after several anti-fungal creams, referred to specialist, awaiting swab results. But could it be non-infectiou caus?

Of course not: Balanitis, phimosis, is due to fermentation by bacteria in tiny drops of urine under the foreskin. Shower daily, retracting the skin to rinse it off. Whenever passing urine, keep the skin back for a moment and blot off the urine from the area. Castellani solution (clear) is very effective. You will need to request it from the pharmacist. You may need to try different antifungal cream. It is very unusaul a month long treratment not helping.

Also smegma (whitish material composed of sloughed skin cells) collects under the foreskin, causes irritation which can lead to inflammation.
