Please somebody help. I'm 30 yo, i've been diagnosed with low t (3.86 ng/ml), low normal LH & FSH (0.97 & 3.15 miu). Is there a permanent cure?
No cure, but help: Not knowing what your diagnosis is, i can't say for sure. Men your age with low testosterone may have any of a number of medical reasons for that. In medicine, we speak of "cure" meaning that the illness is permanently gone with no further treatment. Most illnesses cannot be cured, but well treated. Go to your physician and get a thorough evaluation, which will then lead to treatment. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Fsh is a peptide hormone synthesized in the anterior (forward) pituitary gland in both males and females. In your experience, has use of CPAP reversed low testosterone? Total T 199 ng/dl.lh 2.2 iu/l.fsh 1.9 iu/l for past 7 years. Weight 210 lb height 6ft
Yes: High fsh indicates low ovarian reserve, a low number of eggs. Very high fsh indicates menopause and requires oocyte donation to conceive. Modest elevations in fsh indicate that egg numbers are low. Many women with low egg numbers can successfully conceive. While fsh is a reasonable measure of egg numbers, it is not a good measure of egg quality. If eggs are available, treatment might work. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I want to check my FSH n LH when should i give samples on 3rd day of cycles or on 21st day after cycle so i may know as my flow is decreasing evrymont?
Depends: you will need to coordinate the test timing with your Obgyn. The answer depends on what it is the doctor is looking for. If the doctor is looking for PCOS then it makes little difference. If the doctor is looking for fertility issues then they probably would want a Day 3 FSH and Day 21 Progesterone. ...Read more
It Depends!: The most important question here is why did you have the test? A low 3 day FSH on one occasion really does not show much. FSH varies during the cycle & goes up towards ovulations (mid cycle), then comes back down. It is lowest at about the time of menses. A high number could indicate decreased ovarian reserve (perimenopause) & undetectable with irreg menses some less common things OR PREG or BCP! ...Read more
