Fsh Injections Success Rate
Please somebody help. I'm 30 yo, I've been diagnosed with low t (3.86 ng/ml), low normal LH & FSH (0.97 & 3.15 miu). Is there a permanent cure?
No cure, but help: Not knowing what your diagnosis is, I can't say for sure. Men your age with low testosterone may have any of a number of medical reasons for that. In medicine, we speak of "cure" meaning that the illness is permanently gone with no further treatment. Most illnesses cannot be cured, but well treated. Go to your physician and get a thorough evaluation, which will then lead to treatment. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Fsh is a peptide hormone synthesized in the anterior (forward) pituitary gland in both males and females. The name 'follicle stimulating hormone' refers to its role in females, namely to recruit and prepare an oocyte (egg) in the first half of the menstrual cycle leading up to ovulation. Fsh is often measured in blood to test a woman's ovarian ...Read more
What are the ovulation success rates on low (50iu) FSH injections in Clomid (clomiphene) resistance patients?
Good rates, long tim: Fsh will usually stimulate the ovaries very well. The concern is that too many eggs will stimulate and that is why we use a low dose protocol when not doing ivf. The key is patience. It may take 3-4 weeks of injections before the ovulation will occur. If little effect the dose is increased. Sometimes too many eggs will become mature anyway and the cycle will need to be cancelled. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Is it true if 41 w/high FSH between 9.5 and 2nd. 15, and 3 eggs after Clomid (clomiphene) challenge IVF no longer viable option? Were told try IUI instead same 3%-5% success rate.
Pregnancy: It is difficult to put a number for what your success may be. These tests also are not predictive of pregnancy rather your response to fertility treatment medications during ivf. Your chances may not be as high as someone your same age with normal ovarian reserve. However, your age places you at a high chance in general. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My husband has cbavd. Could we have success with iui? Fsh is normal. Test. Is 228, but he is taking Clomid (clomiphene) for 3 months before extraction.
IVF / ICSI is better: Congenital bilateral absence of the vas deferens means that he'll need a surgical sperm retrieval, usually pesa or percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration, done by a urologist. Pesa is simpler than testicular retrieval but still carries some risk of scarring/ damage. 1 pesa may yield enough sperm for 1-2 IUI attempts; ivf with icsi has a much better success rate with surgically retrieved sperm. ...Read more

Will using pure FSH injections be a better choice if the response on hmg is not very good. Body LH/FSH levels were tested normal.?
FFSH vs. HMG: I'm assuming you mean recombinant FSH (e.g. Gonal-f or Follistim) when you say pure (vs. Bravelle). It would help to know what a "not very good" response is, but switching from one formulation to another potentially helps. Other tactics could include increasing the dose of medication daily, giving it intramuscularly or combining FSH with other meds (e.g. Clomid) to improve stimulation. ...Read more

Taking puregon/fsh injections daily & have noticed egg white like CM on cd7 & cd9 (day 10 now). Does FSH cause early onset of CM but not ovulating?
Cm: Cervical mucus varies from moth to month and from one person to another. It is also related to your estrogen levels. It is not surprising with your ovarian stimulation that you are producing cm, you may also notice it be more copious. All normal. Don't worry about cervical mucus your doctor will monitor your progress with estrogen levels and ultrasound. ...Read more
