Not the key: After decades of work, I know on physician personally who takes antioxidants with the idea that they will improve health or longevity; there may be some here. Inflammatory bowel disease requires extra cancer surveillance and your physician needs to explain this to you. Food choices aren't the key to managing your illness; a holistically-minded evidence-based physician might be a good ally.

Daily multivitamin: Most foods in usa have some form of vitamin supplementation. Why don't you start eating fruits and veggies now. They are delicious. If not, recommend a daily multivitamin and you may want to add vitamin d and Folic Acid at a minimum.

Vitamins: A good multivitamin is a good idea. It's like an insurance policy for when we don't eat right, don't sleep well, or are especially stressed. Go to a good store or get some guidance because the popular brands are typically very week and not helpful. Fresh fruits and veg better because enzymes still alive. Please see doc. Your immunity is probably low. Natural way to boost is w/mushroom caps.

No substitute: Vitamins, (whether prenatal or not) are not an adequate substitute for a good diet. This includes fruits, veggies, proteins. Is there any particular reason why you don't eat them? It is best for YOU and baby to get adequate amount in your diet, and lots of options to do so.

Depends: Any fad diet is not healthy because you will simply regain the weight once you go off it. You need to find a diet that you can stick to for the rest of your life if you want to keep the weight off. A vegan diet of fruits and vegetables can be healthy as long as you get in enough protein. Typically you need nuts as well as some vitamin supplements. Good luck.

Salmon could be good: Uncooked salmon, if prepared well as in sushi, can be consumed. But would this speed up your healing process? Probably not. Eating a healthy, balanced diet, along with plenty of exercise to attain a healthy body/mind will help body recover from disease/surgery/trauma better. Your wound should be mostly healed now and a bit of remodeling continues to occur for maybe 6 months or more. Good luck.

Yes: You need to look at your diet to see what may be lacking. (vitamin c?) vitamin d and certain b vitamins might be low as well. Ask a nutritionist or your doctor.

It can't hurt: Vitamins are generally safe if not taken in tremendous amounts, and people with poor diets may benefit from vitamins. However, vitamin supplementation is no substitute for a healthy diet, and if you get used to a healthy diet you may feel better.

Probably not: Taking prenatal vitamins should provide most essential nutrients, though protein ; essential oils are important too. Fruits ; vegetables are also helpful, but many women eat little in early pregnancy due to morning sickness yet still have healthy babies. But do your best to get fruits ; vegetables from here on out (organic if possible). Consider a powder like greens plus organic wild berry powder.

No such thing: Please if you want real help you will have to take the advice. If you want good health you need to be eating nutritionally. There is no vitamin in the world that will make up for malnutrition or the lack of proteins. You need to eat at least 100 grams of protein per day.
