Im going in for my frozen embryo transfer? Any difference from fresh et?

Im going in for my frozen embryo transfer? Any difference from fresh et?

Maybe: At our clinic, we have seen better success rates with a frozen embryo transfer, as opposed to a fresh transfer, because you do not want to put embryos back in a physiologically overstimulated cycle that you got them from. We are seeing up to a 30% higher pregnancy rate in fet over fresh transfers. Hope this helps. Good luck. ...Read more

Is there any benefit to using hCG after frozen embryo transfer?

Dr. Amr Azim Dr. Azim
1 doctor agreed:

Unlikely: You mean natural cycle frozen embryo transfer with HCG used to trigger ovulation. There is no evidence that using HCG has additional benefits compared to awaiting natural lh surge and spontaneous ovulation. Hcg injection though may help with timing of frozen embryo transfer as compared to awaiting lh surge which may be missed or happen in an inconvenient day. ...Read more

Had ultrasound today after a frozen embryo transfer 3 weeks agoand showed nothing. My beta doubled in 48 hours. Should I be hopeful?

Yes: Ultrasound like all tests has a certain resolution so it pick up structures of a certain size but if the probe wasn't aimed at exactly the right place it would not detect the very small embryo. The chemical test on the other hand is looking for a functioning ball of tissue which is increasing in size which is what you reported. Now I wouldn't go out and drink a cuvée of bubbly yet but... ...Read more
