Front Lobe Dysfunction
EEG finding: I assume you received this as part of an EEG report. This is not specific but can relate to a localized difference within the functioning of that part of the brain. Sometimes those findings are associated with seizures, but not always. You should follow up with the ordering physician to have further discussions about the finding. ...Read more
Abnormal function: The term might refer to anatomical variation in one temporal lobe, but could also involve, epileptic activity due to focal pathology. Would urge full discussion with your neurologist, as this may correlate with your problems. ...Read more

After brain surgery on my front right lobe, one round of radiaiton & chemo then a 2nd chemo. What will my permanet disabilities be.
Disabilities after: I think I can clarify a little....Most of your major disabilities after all of this treatment are mostly related to disabilities you may have acquired surgically. The radiation can have an impact on your hearing if the inner ear apparatus was radiated, fatigue, and neurocognitive changes - ie slowed thought processing and issues with short term memory long term. ...Read more
What is the lump near my ear? I found it right in front of the lobe and it feels painful to touch, I found it 3 days ago. It's semi hard but moves
Preauricular node: The fact that you can move it argues that it is not attached to the skull. You likely had an infection in that region of your body and the cells there gave up their lives in their "last full measure of devotion" to protect you. If it doesn't go down soon, see your doc. ...Read more
Brain epidermoid, is it the same as a meningioma tumor the difference between the two 3cm brain stem / 8cm front lobe?
Different tumors: A brain epidermoid is a different tumor than a meningioma. That is, the pathology or cell type is distinctly different. These usually are different on imaging studies also. From your question, it seems that you are describing an epidermoid adjacent to the brain stem and a meningioma in the frontal lobe. This is consistent with the different tendencies these two tumors have to localize. ...Read more
What sickness involves front lobe headaches, slight blurred vision, and small amounts of clear acid vomit? (its infectionous and lasted 5 hours)
Something bad: These are serious symptoms that could be caused by infection, but also other things. If you are not totally recovered, it's worth seeing a doctor. I would worry most about a mass lesion in the brain which could be fatal. Only way to know is to be checked out. ...Read more

Non-diagnostic: Location is not typical of migraine, and certainly not consistent with ms. Might be a result of remote trauma, birth issue, or even a vascular area or frank artifact. However, you deserve to know what your doctor does or does not want to do with this, so, schedule appt and find out where he intends to proceed. ...Read more

I have a 1.6cm single vascular nodule right lobe of thyroid. It is 16x15x7mm, hypoechogenic, curcumscribed, front of neck has pain. T4 low biopsy?
FNA biopsy: Hi. TSH would be more useful than a T4, but I can surmise it's NOT a hyper functioning nodule from the low T4, and hyper functioning nodules are the only ones at no risk of being cancer. You need a fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy with gene testing. Let me guess...that's what your doc told you! She/he is right! Get it done. They're not bad at all (know it seems creepy!). Odds are in your favor ...Read more

They can be removed by a dermatologist or other surgeon if large. If small injections with steroid can help decrease them in size and reduce pain. ...Read more

I have a bump on each side of my face above my jaw right in front of my ear lobe, maybe anterior auricular gland? More painful when pushed on.
TMJ pain, likely: You're probably feeling your temporomandibular joint, it's supposed to be there. Some people develop pain there because their bite doesn't quite match up, they clench their teeth, they chew gum, or they injured it. A soft diet can help, heating pads also offer relief. It would be rare to have some kind of mass in the parotid gland on both sides. If it continues to be a problem see an ent. ...Read more
