R U Sure Sit up Pain: Muscles get "sit-up sore" from use or overuse, and not from just relaxing. If you have nausea or fever consider abdominal G.I. Problems. So.. If you continue to feel pain see a doctor. When to see a doctor depends on the amount of pain. Not likely: Every person and situation is different, i need to say that you should ask your doctor. Generic advice however would be, if you had zero post surgery complications then 6-8 weeks after your c-section you should be able to restart exercise at a lower rate/intensity and slowly increase over time. Im having pains in my ribs. It feels like I've been doing sit ups all day. Its right in the middle where they start to seperate. Why would this be?
Yes: Sit ups are great. To really define your abs you need to shed the overlying fat and tone the underlying muscles. Losing fat requires good nutrition and diet. Woman tend to have more fat here than men so losing enough fat to have "6-pack" abs may interfere with the menstrual cycle which is unhealthy.
