Frequent lung infections is a clinical finding in which a person gets lung infections more often than is typical. This can occur due to lung problems or due to a weakened immune system, often due to immune system suppressing drugs or HIV infection.

Impaired muscles: When dmd affects the muscles of breathing, patients have difficulty clearing secretions which can lead to increased infections. Chest pt can be useful to break the secretions up and allow them to be cleared. If there is an issue with scoliosis, this should be addressed early to prevent further repiratory compromise later in the disease course. ...Read more

Recurrent URI: If your child is attending daycare that is a very good reason for recurrent URI, her elevated neutrophil count is expected as a response to these infections, make sure she is up to date with her immunization & annual flu vaccine, give her vitamins daily & healthy diet with plenty of fresh fruits & vegitables.
