See your doctor and: After a complete history and physical, if there is no sure diagnosis, ask for either a knee MRI or a consult with a sports medicine physician or an orthopedic surgeon. 2 years of knee pain in a 19 yo, esp with "giving way", is not normal and needs to be further evaluated. ...Read more

Postural hypotension: Feeling lightheaded on standing , having blurry vision and collapsing is most like drop in blood pressure , called postural hypotension. In most cases it does not indicate anything sinister but falls secondary to it can cause injury . Certain blood pressure medications, dehydration due to diarrhoea, vomiting can also result in postural hypotension. See Gp for review if symptoms occur regularly. ...Read more

Kneecap maybe : It takes significant trauma to dislocate a knee. Stepping out of shower is not nearly enough. You may have had a subluxation or dislocation of the knee cap, or giving way from a recurrent or new injury. You need to get back with ur ortho surgeon for eval ; tx. ...Read more

UMN weakness: Upper motor neuron weakness from inflammation injury of the spine (transverse myelitis) typically causes spastic weakness: even though the muscles are tight and may at times cramp or spasm, they are still weak b/c the brain lost control over voluntary movement of affected muscles.
