We see the same problem with length measurements, particularly with the normally imprecise method of the "table paper & pencil" length. ...Read more
8M baby boy failing to thrive? Born 3.5Kg, drop to P10% at 2M; keep at P5-6%, now P20%. HC 40%. Height 50%. Av gain/month 550gr. All milestones met!
Mgt: The percentiles of normal growth may vary with age. If he is otherwise well and following his curve and meeting milestones, he probably is fine. I am 20weeks and 6days and these are the measured parameters: BPD=53.92, OFD=65.36, HC=187.91; AC=160.88; FL=35.06, HL=33.28. Are they normal values?

They tell you in the report how your measurements comp to the median. No MD on the planet commits values like this to memory. Read the report carefully it must tell you if those values are normal if not call the Radiologist! Thanks ...Read more
After being on hc of 20-30mg for 7 yrs for partial ai, and acth remains in normal range on hc (not suppres'd) and is > 65 after 1 day off hc, can mayo determine if partial ai is primary or secondary?
Yes: If you really need hydrocortisone, then it would be dangerous do delete it totally. Speak w/your doctors and follow their recommendations. Your acth is higher than would be expected if you're taking hc regularly. Cortisol level may reflect hc still in your system or your endogenous production. Very complicated case that needs one-on-one analysis, not the internet. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
