How do u get an appt for monday morning at the obgyn? Can i leave message w a swearing service? They open at 730 but don't answer phone until 9

Every office differs: How you get an appointment at your particular doctor's office for a monday is different from office to office. You can certainly leave a message with the service - someone in the office may listen to them before the office even opens. You could actually go to the office if it is very urgent on monday morning. Or you can ask the service if there is a doctor on callyou can talk to who might know. ...Read more

Is there any free obgyns i havr no job and i keep bleeding everyday from my vagina .

Maybe: While there aren't typically any 'free' ob/gyns, there are clinics that offer services on sliding scale. In florida you may qualify for federally sponsored insurance? Also consider family planning clinics as they can treat and/or give you a referral. Under new affordable care act you can purchase low cost insurance, starting today! you might have to look awhile, but there are options. ...Read more

I get really irritated after sex, I have no stds, been to many obgyns , i tired of going to doctors having tests done with no answers ! please help. Who can I see for this?

See an OB/GYN: And if this does not work, a sex therapist. You may be having problems with lubrication, rough sex, inadequate pre-coital stimulation, or other issues. Impossible to tell without thorough history and physical exam. This is quite disturbing and hope it is worked out soon. Good luck. ...Read more

I lost my job a year ago so i don't have any insurance. I have ran out of free birth control samples from my obgyn since. I'm not on the pill right now.

Heatlth dept: Im sorry to hear about your situation. Usually there is a clinic of some sort that you can go to for free or a ruduced price depending upon your income. Planned parenthood still exists in some cities and free clinics and university hospital clinics usually have access to birth control to help you. The local health dept is usually another good source. ...Read more

How soon should a hpt show true answers when i ovulated 21 june been nauseated sore breast two days late test says negative..Cant get in with obgyn?

13-15 days later: If your ovulation kit was positive on 6/22 you most likely ovulated 1-2 days later. 14 days later the home pregnancy test should be positive, if it is negative it is possible that you ovulated later then 6/22. You can have your obgyn order blood work for HCG and progesterone. ...Read more

Are there any birth control pills available to treat PCOS that are low in estrogen/estrogen-free? I have migraines and am currently on Yaz, and want to reduce my stroke risk. I'm in college and the OBGYN clinic here on campus is very unhelpful.

Are there any birth control pills available to treat PCOS that are low in estrogen/estrogen-free? I have migraines and am currently on Yaz, and want to reduce my stroke risk. I'm in college and the OBGYN clinic here on campus is very unhelpful.

Hmmm...: Short answer is yes: there are low-estrogen oral contraceptives. Not sure you'd want to do that, though. First, the ovarian cysts can only be controlled if ovulation is stopped, and this requires taking estrogen to inhibit pituitary FSH release. Without estrogen the cysts might rage out of control. This estrogen must (I believe) be balanced with progesterone and testosterone, EVEN in PCOS patients ...Read more

How early can a blood test detect pregnancy? Please answer only if you know the definitive answer. Obgyns?

Date of conception.: A quantitative blood test can tell approximately the date it was conceived. The beta subunit of HCG or human Chorionic Gonadotropin can be detected in urine or blood after implantation or 6-12 days after fertilization. The test which can give the quickest result is a rosette inhibition assay for early pregnancy factor (epf) which can tell within 48 hours of fertilization, but it is expensive. ...Read more
