Hand Fracture.: First of all, what do you mean you removed it? Second stiffness is normal after being in a cast , range of motion exercises will help. Back to the first question, no one should remove their own cast, they are on there for a reason, how do you know your hand is healed. Go see your doc for follow up. Probably not: If there was no injury to the hand and it is not painful then it is probably not fractured. Swelling in the hand after an elbow injury especially in a cast is common. The swelling must be controlled with ice, elevation and most importantly keeping the fingers moving. If it becomes severe it can lead to permanent stiffness of the fingers.
