Many, but here's one: Coconut oil is high in saturated fat, which is extremely stable at high temperatures. Frying or cooking with coconut oil is far superior to using traditional vegetable oils because it does not degrade to damaging free radicals.

Usually not: Coconut oil is not used as a deodorant for pap exam. If there's a strong odor, your doctor may have you further worked up for bacterial vaginosis or something else depending on what is found in exam. Also, if you sweat a lot, the body odor in this area can be pronounced. So refrain from wearing tight jeans, panties or anything that doesn't allow for better ventilation. Do wear comfortable underwear.

No: While coconut oil can be soothing for inflamed skin, true infected piercing a will require a topical antibiotic and sometimes even a systemic antibiotic to heal. Try something like neomycin or Bacitracin ointment (assuming you are not allergic). If the problem continues, please see your doctor.

Coconut oil: I some cultures coconut oil is used in the hair (massage into hairs) as a conditioner/moisturizer. It will make hairs oily but you need to put in hairs and leave for few hours and then shampoo your hairs.

Cholesterol: Yes, bad choleaterol comes from mainly polysayurated fats. Always bake instead of fry when possible. Nothing more important than healthy low fat diet and exercise to decrease cardiovascular risk.

Brittle hair: There are unfortunately some that have dry brittle hair. Make sure you are eating and resting well and that your thyroid is within normal limits which I am sure your Dr. Has done. Vit B supplements are good for the hair.

You can: You might want to make sure your partner isn't allergic to it first. But also, avoid using this, if you are going to use latex condoms, as the coconut oil may compromise the integrity of coconut oil.

Difficult Question: I'm not sure this has ever been looked into.... But I do know that isn't necessarily the intended use of coconut oil. I wouldn't advise it... but I really don't have a solid reason to feel that way other than it just doesn't seem like a good idea. Hope this helps.

Unlikely harmful: While there really isn't an "scientific evidence/studies", it's unlikely that coconut oil will cause any issue unless it's the rare case that your baby's skin may be sensitive to it.
