Doctor insights on:
I have phimosis and tear my foreskin by accident is it normal for the foreskin to shrink again? How soon can I resume stretching?
Normal: Torn area will contract ; scar causing shrinkage. You probably require prescription strength steroid cream like Betamethasone or kenalog (triamcinolone) so that foreskin can loosen. Am not a believer in stretching foreskin by itself to correct phimosis. Other alternative is either a preputioplasty, if you wish to keep foreskin, or circumcision.
No: Why would you think it would do that?
? BXO: You mayv developedbalanitis xerotica obliterans. This is a sort of degenerative condition of the foreskin which results in scarring or fifrosis of the opening of the foreskin. The only remedy for this is circumcision. Other causes are a foreskin that has never loosened up and now just splits during sex. Suggest you see a urologist.See 1 more doctor answer
What?: Could you please restate the question. This phrase does not make any sense.
What do you advise if I'm in my thirties. The foreskin of my penis keep shrinking and unable to be pull back for cleaning.?
Here are some. ..: What you described for your foreskin is not uncommon, especially in diabetic men with recurrent inflammation in their tight and long foreskin. The definitive solution for such is circumcision, which can be done under local anesthesia as an outpatient. Most of men tolerate extremely well. Ask Doc for detail timely.
I've been using and anti fungal cream mixed with steroid for my infected foreskin, it seems my penis is shrinking, is this possible, can it be helped?
May be...: The pattern of your using steroid anti-fungal cream hints significant recurrent foreskin-related infection/inflammation. If so, circumcision is the choice of long-term care. As to penile shrinking, it unlikely happens in your situation. So, see doc timely to verify the fact so to figure out how to ease your such concern.
Use steroid cream: Try to retract foreskin, then apply prescription strength steroid cream (ie 0.1% Betamethasone or Kenalog) to tight area morning & night until loose. Always pull foreskin back over glans to avoid paraphimosis. Will not work if foreskin opening is scarred, in which case surgery will be required.
Self-exploration: There are several non-surgical methods, mostly of self-restoration over weeks to months. Resource site: www. Restoringforeskin. Org / support q&a-type blog: www.Foreskin-restoration. Net / general education link: http://en. Wikipedia. Org/wiki/foreskin_restoration can always also consult a urologist.
Foreskin does what?: Detach? Come off? I do not believe this can happen. Do you mean that the foreskin cannot be pulled back over the glans or head of the penis? If you cannot retract the foreskin over the glans then I would recommend that you see your family physician.
Circumcision: Has been shown to decrease the risk of infections in both the man and his sexual partner (s). However, circumcision is rarely indicated in an adult male due to the associated risks. Practicing good hygiene is very important and can make a difference. Keep the foreskin and glans clean by washing thoroughly with antibiotic soap and water.
See your doctor: It depends on what kind of problem. If it is a rash or wound you might be told to apply a topical medication. If the foreskin is too tight it might be what is called phimosis, in which case you'd see a urologist who might do a surgery. In any case, see your doctor to help decide what needs done.See 2 more doctor answers
Here are some. ..: Is this Q from the same gentleman? As I could remember, it was answered long time ago. If you really dislike the penile look after circumcision, seek pro-evaluation and counseling so to assess the balance between medical necessity and professional possibilities before doing more procedures onto the penis. Redoing circumcision is relatively common due to "insufficient" foreskin removal; rare for...
