Forehead Wrinkle Filler
Dermatologists: currently, what is the most long lasting proven filler for deep forehead wrinkles that doesn't result in nodules under the skin?
Weaken muscle first: When dealing with horizontal forehead lines, it is recommended to first weaken the forehead with some botox. The wrinkles are caused by active muscle motion, so even if you put filler in there, the lines will still show because the frontalis muscle can contract. First have your forehead injected and wait until the Botox works. Then you can use a softer ha filler like belotero or juvederm ultra. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Botox is better: If you are looking to minimize forehead wrinkles, Botox is a better option. The cause of those lines is movement of your muscles. Botox blocks the receptors in your brain from being able to communicate with the muscle it is injected into. That in turn reduces muscle contraction, which gets rid of the lines. Dermal fillers are used more for areas that have lines due to lose of volume. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Dermatologist says 30 u's of dysport will soften my constant forehead furrows. She says nothing about a filler. I do not want to lecture her. Advice?
Are aquamid injectable filler results actually permanent? While i was researching treatments for some worry lines in my forehead i came across aquamid injectable filler. The company claims the results are permanent. Are these claims true?
Caution!!!: Aquamid is polyacramide gel and is not approved for use in the United States. It is considered a permanent filler as the particles cannot be broken down by the body. Several formulations have appeared overseas and chronic problems have been encountered. Artefill is the ony fda approved permanent filler. Make sure you see a reputable dermatologist, facial plastic surgeon, or plastic surgeon. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Botox into static forehead frown lines showed droopy eyelids. Why didn't the dermatologist place a filler afterwards at a later time? Will it work?
Forehead filler: I'm a little confused by the question. Most injectors stay clear of the forehead area with filler because there is risk of blindness associated with this injection. With informed consent I would be more comfortable doing this injection (as do other injectors). I would need to evaluate you and I would also recommend dw your injector! good luck. ...Read more

Fine lines: Belotero is good for fine, superficial lines and wrinkles. It can be used for deeper volume correction, but i don't usually use it for this since other product work and last better. Will artefill provide me a long-lasting solution to my wrinkles? There are so many skin products and procedures on the market right now. I have tried many of them on my smile lines and forehead but without long-term success. How is artefill different from
Only : Only a specific evaluation of your issues can lead to the best customized solution. Nowadays in facial aesthetics we can achieve natural results 100% of the time, and we only need to make skin incisions 5% of the time, usually as the second or third resort. The right lasers, peels, fillers and Botox can mean a result of 2-30 years of improvement. The idea of placing volume (fat transfer, temporary fillers, or long-term fillers) has revolutionized facial aesthetics. It makes the results of surgery or laser much more natural and often helps to avoid incisions. Regarding your question about artefill, this might help: i am a cosmetic surgeon who has used artefill for about 5 years. My experience with artefill has been exceptional in every respect. I like artefill's predictability and smoothness. Patients like the fact that they are paying for something one time, and getting (likely) 10-15 years of volume correction. It costs about twice what the other fillers cost, but over time it costs about a fifth of the others. A great value. The make of artefill is a us company, and they are the only company that has submitted 5-years of safety data to the fda. There are concerns with any filler, but the safety of all fillers is very high, if placed by an experienced injector. Ask to see 5 or 10 sets of before and after photos, and you'll know you got the right injector! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
