Lateral right knee ache, vit d level is 17,should vit d tablet be taken?can this level of vit d cause muscle ache in knee?
The lower limit: of normal vitamin D is about 20 ng/ml so your level is a little low. But it is probably not low enough to cause many symptoms. And usually the muscle and bone pain would be more generalized. I suspect your lateral knee pain is due to a strain/sprain. Check with your doctor about vitamin D supplements; but do try to get more fish/salmon, tuna, sardines or cod liver oil. Or fortified yogurt or milk! ...Read more

It is water soluble. The body takes what it needs and the rest is readily excreted in the urine. Are you using any other drugs? Recreational? Ca and D: Why are you taking all that junk? What do you think it will do for you? How will you know if it's working? What deficiency are you treating or what disease are you trying to prevent? There's no scientific evidence that any of that will help you except for good calcium in your diet and about 2000 units of d a day. Don't get your medical info from tv, friends or the internet. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Yes, in fact wise: No prenatal vitamin has adequate levels of vitamin d. Adults in the winter months need to take 5-8000 iu of vit d3/day to achieve optimal levels. Additional b complex is perfectly safe as long as total b6 does not exceed 200 mg (highly unlikely). Prenatal vitamins do not contain essential omega 3 fatty acids, important not only for your health but the health of your baby if you become pregnant. ...Read more
Cold feet & vit B12: Cold feet (and hands) is often a condition where the blood flow is impaired due to overconstriction of the capillaries by the sympathetic nervous system. Often Money&Placebo: Apologize for the negativity, but b vitamin is not 1 but a group of vitamins, b1, b2, b3, b5, b6, b7, B9 & B12 (others turned to be variations of this list). Look up b vitamins on http://en.Wikipedia.Org for overview.
