7 y/o c/o intermittent upper right thigh pain x2-3 weeks. Has hypotonia, pronated ankles, orthotic inserts for shoes. Possible causes?

Faced with an astute heel pain recently, pain shoots up only when running. It's most likely diagnosed as plantar fasciitis, any advice on the remedy?
Plantar Fasciitis: 26 year old gentleman with plantar fasciitis. The treatment for plantar fasciitis includes rest, ice, stretching, physical therapy, and then injections or surgery for cases that do not respond to more conservative management. Uh Oh.: It seems to me that the reason for doing a plantar release is to eliminate the need for anti-inflammatories. After all, you could have just taken the medication without the surgery and have had the same results.
