Looking for some guidance regarding pain in left foot. Pain at tip of 2nd and 3rd toes while walking. No real discomfort elsewhere in toes or foot?

TWO THINGS: I'm assuming no injury/trauma. First, is it the very early signs of a pinched nerve supplying the second and third toes; it's called a neuroma, most commonly affecting the 3rd and 4th toes. Second, if diabetic, is it the very, very early signs of diabetic neuropathy? Those are my thoughts.

No injury to back or feet! Having severe foot pain on one foot and numb big toe on the other! It hurts on my back to. What should I do to help?

BACK/FOOT RELATED?: You're young, but you can still have back problems. Maybe a job with lots of lifting, carrying children can add stress to the back. You don't need an actual injury. There is a large nerve coming out of your back, getting smaller and smaller until it ends in your toes. So, I would start with your back. An orthopedist specializing in spine/back problems, a neurosurgeon, or a chiropractor can help. ...Read more

Black is not normal: Gout shouldn't cause black discoloration. It suggests some form of bleeding issue, whether it be related to bruising or an abnormality with the blood vessels in that area. Or, it can suggest death of tissue in that area, so called necrosis. Alternatively, if you are using a silver based dressing in that location it could discolor your skin. Nonetheless a healthcare provided should assess this! ...Read more

Sounds like a tailor: bunion. It is caused by improper footwear. It is at the base of the little toe. Usually we see this in people with a"splay foot". This means when your foot hits the ground the forefoot widens. Have 2 look for this barefooted. If dress shoes & heelx make it more sore that is most likely the problem. ...Read more
