If you fracture a bone considered part of the arch then it could place more stress on the plantar fascia ligament for support. Stretches do help: A fellow sufferer here, as well as several MDs in our practice. The stretches on the link below do help, you will see progressive improvement. IT CAN BE FIXED: To be clear, you had a dorsiflexory osteotomy of the 1st metatarsal, and it was raised too much? If so, the surgery is essentially reversed to drop the metatarsal down. Foot pain: Tamar fractures can occasionally be difficult to see, as can other fractures to bones in the foot/ankle. It sounds like you had a lot of fractures - the healing, along with having to change how you bear weight on that foot, may be the cause of your pain.
