How to treat cystic acne? Pls help any other alternative foods fruits to eat, ? Or other things to do thanks alot.!

Scientific Rx: Diet won't help. If you're a female, the oral contraceptive pill may clear you if you can take it. If not, you will need at least a systemic antibiotic plus appropriate topical therapy. True cystic acne usually requires Accutane or something similar from a dermatologist. It's not pleasant and has its risks, but is worth it. Good luck. ...Read more

How do you r/o lupus (sle & discoid), fibromylagia, polymyositis, and sjogren's syndrome from each other?
What other tests can we do?

Too complicated.: These diseases are difficult to distinguish at times and often require observation and repeated testing over time. The biggest clue is the clinical symptoms and lab testing provides confirmatory support. If you do not have significant symptoms, there may not be any more testing you need to do at this time. ...Read more

How might you treat leaky gut syndrome with a patient who has lupus, fibromyalgia, and allergic to sulfa drugs and (90/100 foods). Thank you.

Start with delayed: food allergy panel (Elisa Antigen testing) to see the whole spectrum of foods/environmental allergens that you are exposed to perhaps unknowingly. So you can begin to do an elimination diet to help repair your gut lining. This would be a start. Then work with an integrative doctor, who can monitor your progress, and medically manage you through this. Correcting your diet is the first step. ...Read more

Can you be diagnosed with lupus with +ana homogenous pattern, inflammation shown in skin biopsy and symptoms that all point to lupus?

It depends: Nobody knows what lupus actually is, so it's diagnosed by criteria. http://www.rheumtutor.com/2012-slicc-sle-criteria/ i need to give you 2 heads-up -- homogeoneous ANA pattern may be a lab error, and people who think they have lupus but don't meet the criteria tend to have a favorable prognosis. I have Graves' disease, vitiligo and pernicious anemia. What is the best diet to follow in order to prevent any more autoimmune diseases? Sandy.

I have Graves' disease, vitiligo and pernicious anemia. What is the best diet to follow in order to prevent any more autoimmune diseases? Sandy.

No great way: However I would consider getting your vitamin D3 level to the higher normal range since vitamin D3 is considered an immune regulator. I don't know if this would work but it would not likely cause any harm. The only way to find out is to get tested. Unfortunately, when you have one autoimmune problem you are more likely to have another presumably due to impaired immune regulation. ...Read more

No: If that works we would do this. We don't because it doesn't work. The rheumatoid arthritis patient needs immediate referral to a rheumatologist to initiate rapid therapy to suppress and control their arthritis. Early dmard and biologics are more efficient when started as early as possible. ...Read more
