For constipation/dry, harder stools, is it important to drink a lot of water when eating fiber in order to make stools softer?
If u don't eat anything with bulk. Like if u eat always soft food. Will that cause bms to be soft loose mushy.
NO: Eating processed food which can be soft and mushy and contain no fiber can still lead to constipation. Its not so much the consistency of the food that leads to a well formed bowel movement as it is the fiber and fluid content. Depends: Easily digestible foods do not necessarily soften your bowel movements. Easy to digest foods are like the brat diet (bread, rice, apple cause, toast) which are great if you are having indigestion, but they will not soften your bms.
