Live wisely: People hear all sorts of things every day of their lives... But how much of it is true?... And for whom might it be true?... And what bad things might happen if one does too much of one thing, one food, one habit, or one activity? It's wise not to think much of this kind of stuff, so i wouldn't count on foods to alter growth hormone, testosterone, etc.; and would always eat a big variety of foods. ...Read more
Burn fat faster? Nah: There are few magic foods that "burn" calories no matter how many claims you hear or read. There is no substitute for exercise, portion control, & calorie restriction. That being said, you increase metabolism if you eat breakfast (versus not), avoid empty calories like alcohol & junk food, speed stomach emptying with small volume low fat meals. Avoid stimulants (caffeine), laxatives, fad diets. ...Read more
Tobacco decreases : Dht production because blood flow testes, where Dht is produced, high cholesterol containing foods likely inhibit Dht production. Sometimes research papers have trustworthy results; othertimes not at all. ...Read more
I've read in many places that refined sugars, breads and other like products can cause acne? Is this true? Can a healthy diet improve acne? Exercise?
It's junk: You've discovered that there's a huge fantasy literature on "this food is good / bad for this / that disease." people write their subscientific observations and decide that somebody saying there's no effect must be ignorant / unspiritual. The real controlled studies show basically zero diet effect on acne. Good diet & fitness are benenficial for their own sake and general health. ...Read more
Don't know you, but: If you have a sweet tooth, the following suggestions won't well suit you. However, fruits, vegetables, and whole grain products as well as lean proteins have 4 calories/gram whereas fats (predominantly in junk food, fried and fast foods) have 9 calories/gram. You can eat more than twice the amount of low calorie foods as described, feel full, and still achieve calorie reduction. Exercise too. ...Read more
Calories, weight: If calories in equals calories out, then your weight will remain the same. To lose weight, there must be an intake caloric deficit and/or an output caloric expenditure (calories burned). Therefore to lose weight eat less and exercise more. The latter is very important because of the health benefits and muscle development. Remember muscle mass uses more energy. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Food and diet rich to increase health of utreus and stimulate ovulation and reduce infertility. Plz suggest foods to induce/stimulate ovulation.
Reality check...: A generally healthy diet low in fats and with balanced protein, carbohydrate, vitamins and minerals along with general good health and exercise, will increase "health of the uterus". However, diet alone will not "stimulate ovulation" or treat problems like endometriosis or scar tissue or ovulatory dysfunction, etc that contribute to infertility. ...Read more
