It is possible: For a 5 year old to have reflux and to throw up 8 hours after eating preceded by a burp, but at that age, it is usually only a small quantity. A large vomitus x3, esp if food present, would suggest delayed stomach empyting, which has various causes, including constipation. Try vinegar: The most important thing to so is try to eliminate the problem (often a food intolerance). Try eliminating all wheat and gluten. Also look at other common food allergies. Any dairy = reflux/heartburn. Extreme fatty food = no heartburn, no reflux. No lactose milk = acid reflux too. What causes reflux then? Thank you.

Acid Reflux can cause Heart burn, Stomach irritation after you eat. If this has been untreated for years can lead to scarring of lower part of Esophagus and there by narrowing. Preventing the normal passage of food to stomach. And you can feel food is stuck in chest, throat.
There are other causes for this symptoms too.
