CONGRATULATIONS!: Take a MULTIVITAMIN especially with Vit B complex (THIAMINE most important)!! The liver is a great organ and if not permanently damaged (fibrosis/scarring) will regenerate on its own! Keep dry! One day at a time! Hope this helps Dr Z ...Read more

Maybe: Some antibiotics can cause increases in liver enzymes, but most drugs given for appendicitis for a short time will not cause that. Ask your doctor - there may be other drugs that you have taken. Many pain medicines have a lot of acetominophen added to the narcotic. No effect: Drinking tea will have little or no effect on the liver. While there is theoretically some benefit in green tea, related to anti-oxidants in tea, the reality is that there is little data to show an improvement in survival.
