Puffy under eye, itchy rash under arms, congested. Slow onset. Lasted only noon till next morning. No food allergy. I work at day care center.
Has this resolved?: Sounds like an allergy- maybe a cream or perfume/body spray/detergent or something that you touched with your fingers (then touched your eye/arms, etc.). If you are not taking other medicines and are not allergic, Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can be helpful. You should see a doctor if symptoms persist. Think about anything new you may have been exposed to- whether at the day care or at home. ...Read more

My skin gets itchy, when i scratch it, it turns to red spots. Like rashes. I don't have food allergies. What could this be?
The skin on my forehead is flaking and now I am getting itchy red spots appearing. These spots crust over ?Could it be a food allergy?
Unlikely due to food: Typically food allergies present with skin or GI symptoms. The skin symptoms are usually hives and itching especially near the mouth or lips. Forehead area would be less likely. Itchy skin arround the bra area also feels like sand paper could i be allergy to the elastic of the bra. Or what i change diferent bra and still itch?
Possible, unlikely: Generally if a person is allergic to 1 cat, they will be allergic to all cats. This is in contrast to dogs, where there is some breed differences. The common cat allergens are proteins from the dander that are attached to the fur and in the saliva when fur is licked. There are allergenic proteins in the serum (blood) but likely less of an exposure.... ...Read more

See doctor: You may try taking antihistamine or even better a prescription nasal spray on a regular basis to make your nose less sensitive. If these products do not help . you should consider seeing an allergist to get desensitized. Is allergy an inborn condition?I never had an unpleasant skin allergy(very itchy skin rashes) before until I turned 21.
Yes and no: While you may be born with a propensity toward developing allergies genetically, you actually have to be exposed to an allergen before you become allergic to it. It could happen the first time you are exposed or the hundredth. I, like you, did not start having hayfever symptoms until I was in my 20's. Yet every fall when ragweed is out, symptoms start unless I take my meds during that time of year ...Read more
Constant itchy skin all over with no visible rash or known allergy. Tried moisturizers, switching detergents and other remedies. Suggestions?
Doctor can evaluate: A person with itchy skin all over, but no visible rash, can see his primary care doctor to see what the problem could be.
